HVAC Technician I

A HVAC Technician I reconditions, delivers, and picks up rental heating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment according to established policy and procedure. An essential job duty will be to transport equipment and accessories to and from customer job sites (mainly construction sites). A HVAC Technician I must drive a company truck safely and for extended periods of time on a regular basis. This individual will perform reconditioning and maintenance inspections on rental HVAC equipment at a regional service location. Additionally, this person will perform start-ups, routine checks, and emergency service on temporary HVAC equipment at customer job sites. This position requires you to create and maintain accurate documentation. Other related duties and responsibilities may be performed as required or assigned. Job physical demands include: frequent bending and kneeling, the ability to reach above the shoulders, the ability to climb a ladder, able to work in tight spaces, moving throughout buildings and grounds on a regular basis, the occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds, and vision and hearing to distinguish proper performance of equipment and hazards of job sites.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Current driver’s license and in good standing
  • Must pass pre-employment DOT employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be at least 21 years old, in most locations, for DOT driving purposes

A HVAC Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs rental heating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment according to established policy and procedure. This individual performs start-ups, routine checks, and emergency service on temporary HVAC equipment on customer job sites (mainly construction sites). He or she will also perform reconditioning and maintenance inspections on rental HVAC equipment at a regional service location. An essential job duty will be to transport equipment and accessories to and from customer job sites. A HVAC Technician II must drive a company truck safely and for extended periods of time on a regular basis. This position requires you to create and maintain accurate documentation. Other related duties and responsibilities may be performed as required or assigned.   • Completion of HVAC trade school education or equivalent work experience in HVAC field
  • EPA Section 608 Type I & Type II or Universal certification
  • 1-2 years customer service or related experience
  • Current driver’s license and in good standing
  • Must pass pre-employment DOT employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be at least 21 years old in most locations for DOT driving purposes
